Created out of the joy of dressing up for all of life's moments...big and small.

Martelle was founded in 2026 by husband-and-wife duo Louise and Grant Rudow. Louise is the fashion influencer behind @LouiseMontgomeryBlog. Grant is the mastermind behind the logistics, planning, and web design, bringing all of Louise's dreams to life.

It all started in 2022 in a little condo on Martel Street in Dallas, Texas.

There, Louise posted her first wedding guest dress video on Instagram and TikTok and it went viral overnight. Her following exploded and she became known as the "wedding guest dress girl."

But, as Louise searched for dresses for her audience, she hit the same wall again and again...she couldn't find what she was looking for.

Classic silhouettes. Feminine details. Tailored fits.

The dresses in her head, simply did not exist.

So, she started sketching them herself.

Two years of sampling fabrics, perfecting patterns, and finding the right manufacturing partner later, Martelle was born.

Our Name

Martelle is named after the street where it all began...Martel Avenue in Dallas, Texas.

Where Louise launched her blog, left her corporate job, and brought home their dog, Remi.

It was a season of growth, risk, and transformation.

When it came time to name the brand, Louise wanted something personal, but not obvious. Martel felt right, but Martelle looked better.

More balanced, more elegant.

Then she discovered the meaning: "little warrior," "lady of the house," a symbol of strength and determination.

It was perfect. The name honors where they started and everything the brand stands for.

Every pattern is custom-made by our team in Los Angeles. Fabrics are custom-dyed and thoughtfully sourced.

Cutting, sewing, and manufacturing all happen in Los Angeles, California.
